January 2019 DIY Projects
Posted on January 30 2019
Tired of the winter blues? Try these DIY projects for your Entryway or Living Room areas of your house, to brighten your spirit and give your home your own special touch!
Entryway/Laundry Room/Mud Room:
Search thrift stores for old spoons, mix & match patterns or all same style, it's up to you. Bend spoon handles upward to form hooks. Attach to wall or board for a unique coatrack!
No time for DIY - Check out our fun, funky coat racks at this link.

Living Room:
Retro is back! Shop your local thrift stores for the perfect retro sideboard and paint sections of it with white paint, leaving portions of the wood. Leave the drawer fronts and top wood and paint the frame white for a great wood/paint combo. This look is very "in", especially with natural wood/white, however, you could also combine it with any paint color.
Or, if you like the look, but just do not have the time, check out our Sideboards here, where you find similar looks, such as our Moe's Nicodemus Sideboard
Find old office chairs and give them a whole new look! Simply replace the metal swivel legs (too office-ish) with new tapered wood legs. A lot of the old office chairs would make awesome side chairs for your living room! Below - picture the first 2 chairs with legs replaced like the 3rd image and you'll have a whole new appreciation for those old office chairs!
Or choose a new chair from our selection of Accent & Lounge Chairs for wide selection of modern or vintage styles.
Check back next month, as we will move on to the Dining Room and Bedrooms to give you more DIY projects.
Happy January!
